International Rescue Committee (IRC)
Founded in 1933, the IRC was created by a group of humanitarians determined to respond to the world’s most urgent crises. Today, the IRC continues that mission on a global scale—delivering life-saving health care, helping children learn, supporting displaced families, and empowering individuals and communities to rebuild their lives with dignity.
With programs in over 40 crisis-affected countries and resettlement, asylum, and integration services across the U.S. and Europe, the IRC remains a powerful force for hope and resilience—especially for women and girls.
I am proud to support their work through fundraising initiatives, including the recent boat race campaign, and by hosting a table at the upcoming IRC Gala on October 30th.
A Greater Me (AGM)
This 9-week empowerment program is dedicated to supporting foster youth through mentorship, professional development, and training in essential life skills. AGM helps participants build the confidence and competence needed to shape their futures with purpose. The program breaks cycles of poverty and isolation by providing access to real-world tools and guidance that foster growth and resilience.
Lao Community Cultural Center of San Diego
The Lao Community Cultural Center of San Diego (LCCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1992 to celebrate, preserve, and share Lao heritage through education, cultural exchange, and community collaboration. Entirely volunteer-run, LCCC unites Lao Americans and friends of the community in promoting language, arts, culture, and cuisine through meaningful programs and events like the Lao New Year and Lao Boat Race Festivals.
